International Food Fair

16
Nov

On November 16th the International Students' Assembly, executed the Annual International Food and Culture Fair with the participation of 16 Student association clubs presenting 16 different cuisines. The idea was not only to have people come by and taste different international food samples, but also to attempt to collect a great deal of donations for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Since IGSA is always interested in participating in social and cultural events, it presented actively the Iranian cuisine on Food Fair day. IGSA served Iranian traditional food ( Kabab, Zafran Rice, Mast o Khiar (Appetizer)) with the aid of more than 12 volunteers. In addition, it made attempts to make a friendly atmosphere to encourage the other international students to come by and enjoy the Iranian meal while being familiar with Iranian culture.
It is noticeable to mention that IGSA’s booth was one the first booths which were sold out very soon.
Total attendance: more than 1000, IGSA booth attendance: 150
